Easy Milkmaid Braid | Blondie Blog ♥

Hi guys! Are any of you faced with the problem of short hair! I know i am! You go onto YouTube and you see all of these amazing hairstyles, but the only problem is, is that they are designed for long hair. This look is perfect for those of you that just don't have long enough hair to reach the whole way round your head. Today, I was experimenting with hair and I managed to get my hair into a pretty good milkmaid braid! "But how?" you ask, well this blog is to let you know!

Sorry about the blur, but my hand didn't do a good job of covering up my face!!

So the first thing you are going to want to do is split your hair into a straight centre parting. This is because if you don't the plaits won't look even.

Once you have done that braid your hair down as far as it can go in a normal plait on both sides. Try to leave as little space at the bottom as possible.

Then you will need to bring both plaits up into the centre of your head (like in the picture above) and tie the two plaits together with a hairband.

Once that is secure you can undo the other two that were in when the plaits were seperate.

You are nearly done, but all you have to do is tuck it under and booby pin the stray hairs at the back. I got so many compliments today because of it, so I am sure you will too.

My Skincare Routine | Blondie Blog ♥

Hi guys! Firstly I want to say how sorry I am that I didn't post last weekend, I just didn't realise how busy my weekend would be and I didn't have any time at all. So this week, as you can obviously see by the title is actually going to be my skin care routine. I have recently had an outbreak so I wanted some new things and I kind of updated it a little.

So the first thing I do is get my botanics face wash, because it just cleanses my face and removes any dirt or makeup from my face. This is really light and leaves my skin feeling fresh. I actually prefer something that can be rubbed in. I previously used simple, but I don't like the way it feels on my skin whilst washing, so this is just as good I find. This doesn't have any scrub in it, so to get my pores all gone I actually use something else as well.

I use the vitamin E face scrub from superdrug. I actually picked this out because I really wanted something without micro beads. If you don't know, micro beads don't get filtered out of the water that goes out into rivers and things like that, and because they are plastic they don't decompose. So I was really happy when I found this, because it had oatmeal in it, and it is so good. I rub it into my t-zone and my breakout has seriously gotten so much better!

Then just to finish things up I use my botanics moisturizer.
